Since 2003 the Father Bob Maguire Foundation has been working tirelessly to feed the hungry and house the homeless. The foundation funds schoolchildren from underprivileged backgrounds, a "hope mobile" feeding the hungry, supports young people at risk of homelessness, and provides outreach and case management.
But the foundation is in need of your help!
Father Bob's Foundation needs to raise $60k to keep their office space and Father Bob's back of shop accommodation.
Trades Hall is asking for help to crowd-fund the Foundation's needs.
Geelong Trades Hall has installed a new solar hot water system which was produced by Earthworker Co-operative: a Victorian worker owned business. Geelong Trades Hall received a grant from Future Proofing Geelong towards an energy assessment. In addition to upgrading their kitchen equipment the Trades Hall decided to use Earthworker Co-operative to install a new hot water system. This approach supported "green jobs" and the Co-op plan to develop manufacturing in Geelong when the demand grows.
Dave Kerin from the Co-op is pictured here with Anne Morrison at Trades Hall celebrating the installation of the new system.

We're working to provide union members in Geelong more information about what Geelong Trades Hall does, how to get involved, and how we can support you.
